| IBI - Intensive Behavioural Intervention Certificate
This course teaches students a thorough understanding of autism spectrum disorders. Theories regarding causation, communication challenges, and the treatment of current interventions techniques implemented. Students will be introduced to the principles of applied behavioural analysis (ABA) in the treatment of autism within intensive behavioural intervention. Student will learn BF Skinner analysis of behavioural classification of language, how to teach the various verbal operant, how to identify begining target for teaching including increasing opportunity for communication. Focus will be placed on teaching procedures, data collection, natural environment teaching, error correction, prompting, the role of reinforcement, socialization and skills such as tiolet training will be addressed.
Course Duration 30 hrs, In addition, students will expected to complete an assignment /case studies that equals 10 hours

This course is designed for health care professionals, nurses, social workers, personal support workers, personal care attendant, teachers, community care workers and people who are currently supporting individuals' with an ASD disorder.
